The word « O.K. » originates from when British soldiers in WW2 told their superiors how many people in their platoon died (i.e. -1.K., 3.K., 10.K.). When 0 people died they would say « 0.K. », therefore everything was alright.
C’est complètement faux, l’acronyme étant bien antérieur :
